After purchasing the booda dome, I realized that using the filters make this litter pan/box a total success! Very little litter makes it outside the box due to the interior ramp, and after trying the pan out without this charcoal filter and then with, does indeed make a difference in odor control.

as long as you keep the litter box cleaned up. I find that the arm and hammer litter in the yellow box works well in this litter box. The filter helps eliminate a lot of the odor that escapes from the top of the box. You need to change these about every other month.
